Transport Society

The Transport Society has been running at St Margaret's since 1971. We have restored our 1949 Leyland Tiger PS1 single deck half cab coach from a derelict condition and we manage to get to several local rallies each year.

We are registered with the National Association of Road Transport museums as a private collection and welcome visitors by prior appointment.

Our current restoration project is an ex Southport 1951 Crossley single deck half cab bus. We are slowly re-panelling this vehicle after carrying out substantial structural and mechanical restoration. We have been working on this vehicle for three years and expect it to be finished in the next 18 months.

We also run a 1991 35 seat MANN Caetana high floor coach and a 1991 Leyland Daf 16 seater minibus.
