To be part of the Church’s service to the Diocese of Liverpool, in the task of education, by working in partnership with parents and the wider community to create a stimulating and caring environment. To this end, Governors, Staff and Students feel involved as individuals and can develop their intellectual, moral, social, physical, aesthetic and spiritual potential to the full in the light of the Christian Gospel.
It is intended that education at St Margaret’s should be both life-lasting and life-enhancing. Our mission statement focuses on the work and the life of the school which takes place in an orderly atmosphere where self-discipline, mutual respect and the welfare of each individual is greatly valued.
The school’s Christian foundation is felt to be explicit to its very being and a reference point in all its work. This is seen in practice as students and staff establish high standards in all aspects of the community’s life within an ethos of mutual respect and love, valuing and caring for the individual. All are encouraged, regardless of position, to fulfil their potential and engage in service to the wider community.

Importance is given to regular worship, religious education in the classroom and on the general presentation of Christianity in the school family. The school presents the teachings of Our Lord but recognises that commitment is a matter which must be left to each individual. We regard the school as an extension of the family.
We want everyone to enjoy their time with us, to be proud of their school and to uphold the principles that underpin a Christian School.
The distinctive character of the school enables students to grow, mature and achieve in a Christian context.
