Dan Roro performance took place to celebrate the European Day of Languages. His performance was enjoyable in many ways as he was extremely funny during some of the play and opened his performance by cycling round the stage on his unicycle. What followed was pretty impressive.
Since he owns a bakery he had a lot of eggs which he balanced on top of a stick. When they fell they turned out to be rubber and it was all a big joke, it still made three St. Edwards’ girls shriek so loudly that they nearly deafening me. However there was one incident that made us all laugh. Dan Roro took an egg around the audience proving it didn’t brake and then ‘accidentally’ dropped it on a the head of fellow Year 8 pupil, Michael Rails, who was then removed from the hall to clean the top of his head.
Later on during the performance he brought out his puppet from his suspicious looking black briefcase. The puppet was a bit shy at first, but by the end of the performance he was singing a French song that he wanted to keep on singing so he repeatedly asked Dan Roro if he could sing another chorus.
Near the end of the play Dan Roro brought one of my friends from 8S (Liam Oston) out from the watchful audience. He gave him a traditional French black and white stripped top and a red beret and just to add to the French appearance he gave him a simple black moustache. By this time everyone in the audience was grinning as Liam was given the job of throwing three skittles into the air whilst Dan Roro started to juggle them while he was on his unicycle. Eventually after this it came to the end of his performance, a decent one in every respect and it was goodbye to Dan Roro and his puppet.
