Key Stage 3

Key Stage 3 (Years 7, 8, and 9)

All boys joining the school in Year 7 have the opportunity to study English, Mathematics, Science, Design and Technology, French, History, Geography, Religious Education, Physical Education, Art, Music, and Information Technology. They will also have a programme of Learning for Life.

It is possible to study German as a second foreign language in Years 8 and 9 for those who have performed particularly well in French. The Year 8 curriculum continues into Year 9. During Year 9, boys are guided into a limited choice of subjects for their GCSE courses.

Students rapidly understand new ideas because teachers present them clearly. Effective questioning and well-sequenced activities enable students to build securely on their previous learning.
